Installed Licenses panel show additional details of the existing licenses that have been deployed to server through the license configuration screen. It displays additional license data that is not possible to see at the deployment time including license status.

This screen will load the deployed licenses in the system when opened. Its content can be updated when the Refresh button is clicked.

 

 

The table contains the details of each license deployed to the server instance. They are as follows:

 

• Serial Number : Unique license identifier that has been generated by Bright Software's license server. This number identifies each license that are issued to clients by the license server.

• Description : The description text that has been entered by the user at the time of deployment. Therefore it is important to enter a meaningful description text for each license during the deployment process.

• Expiry Date : The date at which the license is to expire. Normally this field would be empty as standard licenses would not have an expiry date. However demo or test licenses that are issued by Bright Software may have an expiry date that will be displayed in this column.

• Maintenance Date : The date on which the annual software maintenance will expire for the license. This means that after this date, the license will not be able to be deployed to the newer versions of server.

• Device Licenses : This is the number of device licenses that the license contains. This number indicates the number of mobile devices that can communicate with server.

• Web Licenses : This is the number of web licenses that the license contains. This number indicates the number of BrightWeb browser clients that can connect server and access the assigned application online as a web application through a browser client.

• Server Version : This is the original server version that the license has been issued for. The license would be valid only for the server version indicated in this field or for an earlier version unless the license has a valid maintenance date. If a license has a valid maintenance date, then it can be deployed to the latest available server version.

• Status : Indicates the status of the license, whether it is valid or not. If the license is invalid, then the row for the license in question will have a RED background as shown in the above image to indicate this status visually.
