BrightForms_X_Y_Z.apk can be installed in two different ways on your Android device.

  Manual Install
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

To install BrightForms manually, simply copy the BrightForms apk file to the device,
locate it on the device and click on it.  The easiest way to do this is to connect 
the device to a PC using the USB cable, and use Explorer to copy the file.

If you already have a previous version of BrightForms installed on the device, 
then you need to "Force Stop" and "Uninstall" it first.

Note : To uninstall BrightForms from your Android device, go to Andorid device "Settings",
"Applications",and then "Manage Applications". Find BrightForms in the application list
and click on it. "Force Stop" if it is already running, then finally "Uninstall".

  BrightBuilder

If you have a copy of BrightBuilder already installed on your development machine,
then a copy of BrightForms apk file will exist in the "[INSTALL DIR]/bin"
directory. You can simply replace this existing version with the new apk file.

a) Make sure BrightForms is uninstalled from the device because BrightBuilder
   will install the new apk file only if BrightForms has not already been installed
   on the Android device.
b) Delete or move the existing copy of the apk file from the BrightBuidler "[INSTALL DIR]/bin"
   directory.
b) Copy the new apk file to the BrightBuilder "[INSTALL DIR]/bin" directory. This new
   apk file will be automatically installed by BrightBuilder on the device when you run
   a project in BrightBuilder.

Note : Refer to readme,txt for further help during or post installation.

  Troubleshooting - for Symbol barcode-scanner devices ONLY
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Symbol (Zebra - Motorola Solutions) barcode-scanner enabled devices must have the EMDK runtime
deployed on the device or else the scanner may not work properly.
(NOTE: New devices from Zebra are not required to carry out this step, 
	as they will already have EMDK installed)
    1. Unzip the "Symbol EMDK Device Runtime Deployment" zip file to a local folder.
    2. Connect the device to the PC using the USB cable.
    3. In the local folder from Step 1, execute the Deployment.bat file.  This 
    	will open a command prompt window.
    4. Hit any key to continue.
    5. This process will deploy the device runtime and reboot the device 
    	automatically to finish the OS update.
